How good it feels to be able to use our own website in order to greet you wherever you might be in the world, in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and to tell you, in some small measure, about our Diocese of Masindi-Kitara and what we do now that we are in our second decade.
Despite the history of the Anglican Church in Uganda going back to the late 19th Century, it was only in 2004 that the Diocese of Masindi-Kitara was created and, as its second Bishop, I am committed to ensuring that the Gospel is preached in every corner of the area under our care.
But, be warned, I use the word ‘preached’ very loosely! We are also an inventive diocese and on the following pages, I want to show you some of the joyous and practical ways in which we live, worship and arm ourselves with the Word of Christ to take out into the world around us. That is our privilege – I hope that one day you will join us. I certainly invite you to come, and to tempt you, we have set aside a separate page with a more ‘touristy’ flavour for you to look at and yet another with a Masindi flavour, quite literally.
In the meantime, I pray that you may be blessed in these moments that you are with us, and that you, in turn, will pray for us as we go about our daily tasks in the Name of our Lord and Saviour.
